Small files, plainly explained
Cookie policy.
Every cookie this site can set, what it does, how long it lasts, and how to change your mind.

What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser so it can remember something about you, from a sign-in to a preference. This page lists every cookie and similar stored value this site can use. It never uses advertising or tracking cookies, and nothing here is sold or shared for marketing.
Essential cookies and storage
These make the site work and need no consent. cc-cookie-consent records the cookie choice you made in the banner so we do not ask again; it lives in your browser's local storage, with a cookie fallback in private browsing, for around 12 months. __Host-ll_rt keeps a member of staff signed in to our own staff portal. It is set only when staff sign in, never for visitors, and no script on the page can read it. It ends when they sign out, after 30 days without use, or 90 days after they signed in, whichever comes first. While the portal is open, the short-lived key it uses is held in the page's memory, and nothing is kept in local storage. cf.turnstile.u is kept by Cloudflare Turnstile, the check that our contact and estimate forms are sent by a person, in Cloudflare's own storage on challenges.cloudflare.com rather than this site's; it is not a cookie, and it lasts until cleared.
Analytics cookies, only with your consent
If you press Accept in the banner, Google Analytics 4 sets _ga and a _ga_* cookie to count visits and see which pages are used, for up to 2 years. Until you accept, these cookies are blocked outright: the site loads no analytics code and sends nothing to Google. Declining changes nothing about how the site works for you. The banner lets you accept all, reject all, or choose by category; accepting and rejecting are equally easy, and nothing non-essential is set before you choose.
Change your mind at any time
Use the button below, or the Cookie preferences link in the footer of any page, to review or change your choice. Withdrawing consent stops analytics immediately.
You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings, and Google offers a browser add-on to opt out of Analytics everywhere at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Google's own privacy policy is at policies.google.com.
More about your data
How we handle personal data more widely, and your rights over it, are set out in our privacy policy.
